On December 21st, 2019, the Sun entered Capricorn, initiating Capricorn season.
Always in correlation with the Winter Solstice (for those in the Northern Hemisphere), December 21st brings us the shortest amount of daylight, the longest amount of night, and the start of winter.
As the days get shorter and colder, we are asked to turn inward to do our work. Capricorn season brings us four weeks to perfect our internal foundation and structures, and revitalize our vision of public success.
Move Slowly Toward Success
Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, planet of restrictions, time, and maturity. Saturn asks us to move slowly and with precision—there is no rushing our work where Saturn is concerned.
Capricorn carries this energy; this is a sign known for its ability to continually strive for success.
With that said, we must remember that Capricorn is not all stone and bone—Capricorn is symbolized by the mer-goat, the goat with a fish’s tail!
That fish tail is a reminder that Capricorn has as much imaginative intuition as it does earthy endurance, and is uniquely attuned to blending artistic dreams with a realistic work ethic. This is the secret to its famous success.
Bring Goals into Focus
In Capricorn season we explore the relationship we have to matters public and private, career oriented and home oriented, and these themes are brought to life by the season’s two powerful eclipses.
On December 25th, the New Moon solar eclipse in Capricorn asks us to set intentions around our career goals and the kind of impact we want to make in the public sphere.
January 8th’s Full Moon lunar eclipse in Cancer asks us to find release around matters of home, ancestry, and foundation.
We will be encouraged to spend time fine-tuning our approach to success. There are unimagined ways of reaching new heights in terms of your career, reputation, and legacy.
Lean in to the imaginative yet practical energy of Capricorn at this time of year to bring 2020’s goals into sharper focus.
